5 Hours of... Insanity???

On Saturday, we decided to go for a bike ride. We ended up going on a very very long ride. As you can see, I about died at the end of it (as shown above). Our friends, Leslie and Jaelan, came with us. The boys had to keep waiting for us girls... and when we finally reached the summit, we were beat. The boys wanted to ride down this "roller coaster" trail.. Leslie and I sent them on their way and rode down the trail we came up. Jaelan ended up flying off his bike on the way down and he also got a flat over one of the jumps. Kind of scary, but at least it made the downhill ride an adventure. We all ended the ride with an afternooon at the pool.

Lehi RO-DEO

We went to the Lehi rodeo for our friend, Laura's, birthday. It was really fun. John even won a t-shirt.. and we got some dirt kicked on us. It was a blast though. There were definitely some interesting people there. The rodeo queens sat right in front of us for a good portion, so we had to be creative in making it so we could see what was going on. They even had some dirt-bikers do some awesome tricks and flips!!! and.. the rodeo clown got plowed into the fence by one of the bulls. Pretty crazy stuff!!

Hair CUT!

I got me a hair cut and I love it! I realize this is an odd picture, and yes, it's taken in our bedroom.. but.. throw me a bone.. i had to take it myself, seeing as I was home alone. I was desperately in need of a cut. I went all out with the bangs, and cut off a ton of hair. I wanted something different for summer, and I LOVE that it's shorter!

Biking the Bonneville Shoreline Trail

We went biking, again. Each time we go, I am reminded how in shape and awesome I am.. oh wait.. I lied. It's killing me! However, I feel so accomplished when we're done.. and I DO love the outdoors, so... We biked along the Bonneville Shoreline Trail.. which overlooks the temple. So beautiful!

Rachel's Visit

While our friend, Rachel, was here.. it was her birthday, so we stuck candles in the top layer of the groom's cake (which was a rubix cube) and sang happy birthday. It was pretty funny. I was going to make her her own cake, but
we had a million cakes lying around. John also took Rachel for a motorcycle ride and they ended up getting soaked by rain and hail! All-in-all her visit was a really fun time. It was so fun to see her and hang out.

Emily's Wedding

Our friend, Emily, got married last weekend, and my other friend, Rachel flew to Utah to hang out and be in the wedding! It was so beautiful! Originally, the wedding part was supposed to be outside, but it rained, so they had it inside. It was still so pretty and elegant. Emily also gave rachel a mini birthday cake cuz her wedding was the same day as Rachel's birthday. Also, funny story- she threw the bouquet and Janelle caught it, but gave it back because it wasn't a "good throw." I still think she is the rightful catcher!! It was really fun.. and so good to see lots of people I hadn't seen in awhile.

The "other" concert

John went to a 311 concert the same night that I went to Kelly Clarkson, as mentioned earlier.. and now I have pics! Apparently, 311 makes John's face contort... He claims his concert was better than mine, but I'm sure he's wrong. He had fun.

Kelly Clarkson Concertness!

My friend, Rachel, is in town for our friend's wedding. For part of the bachelorette party we went to the Kelly Clarkson concert. I wasn't so sure it would be that great, since the last few concerts I've been too were not that great.. but it was AWESOME!!!! I knew a ton of the songs and sang along.. and we all had a blast, despite the rain! When it ended, I wished it would keep going. John went to a 311 concert the same night, so it worked out perfectly. I regret to inform you there are no pics of his event. Fun times!! and I'm having so much fun with Rachel!

Awesome Air Show!!

We went to the Hill Air Force show last Saturday and it was so awesome! We took my little brother, Nick, John's nephew Chase, and our friend Clarissa. It was so much fun and such a beautiful day out. Chase had just finished up a week at EFY, so he was pretty tired. We turned around part-way through the show and he was out cold! It was hilarious! Poor kid. Sorry there are so many pics. I couldn't decide. Next we plan on going again, but we're going earlier so we can see more!!!

Campfire!

We had a little campfire/bonfire with our friends a few weeks ago. It was really fun. We ate tinfoil dinners and peach cobbler.. YUM! We also took some silly pics in the woods.. with a hatchet. We were cracking ourselves up!! Seriously.. you should see some of them. Anyway, it was a lot of fun.. and we plan on doing it a million more times this summer!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

We went with our friends to the Bee's game.. and it's Air Force week.. so they had parachuters.. and one flew in the American flag! Then, they had a fly-by with jets! It was so cool. Apparently, the air force also owns a nascar, a monster truck, and some other random things... so we took pics by some of them. The air force stuff was really cool.. the baseball game, was somewhat boring, especially when it started pouring rain!.. so we left around the 6th inning. It was a fun night, despite the rain.

Burnin' up

This is what happens when your name is John and you lay out in the sun longer than exactly a half hour. John notified me he only wanted to be at the pool for a half hour.. and i told him I wanted to stay longer.. so he decided to lather up in sunblock. However, he decided he only needed it on his face and shoulders.. so that's exactly where we put it (as you can see). You can even see the finger marks from exactly where it got rubbed in. I obviously have not grasped this whole concept since I have some Italian skin in me and hardly ever burn. Poor poor John... At least it was fun to swim at the pool!
